On March 28, the Da Nang Software Business Association (DSA) held its Extraordinary Mid-term Congress for the 2023–2028 term, and officially announced its renaming to the Da Nang Digital Technology Association (DTA). This event marked an important milestone in its development direction, aiming to expand its scope of activities, adapt to emerging technology trends, and strengthen connections across the digital ecosystem.

In her opening speech, Dr. Nguyen Thi Anh Dao, President of Dong A University, emphasized that the renaming of the Association is a necessary step in the context of rapid technological advancement – particularly in fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and semiconductor technology.
This transformation goes beyond a change in name; it reflects a broader vision to encompass the entire digital technology sector.
The university also reaffirmed its pioneering role in education and research through the development of international research institutes, the organization of academic conferences, and the building of a startup ecosystem for students.
The “triple helix” collaboration model – Government, Academia, and Industry – was highlighted as a critical foundation for bringing technological research into real-world applications, contributing to the city’s socio-economic development.

Over 17 years of development, the Association has established itself as a vital bridge between technology businesses and the city government.
From early applications of information technology in administrative management, it has contributed to building the foundation of e-government, paving the way for Da Nang’s digital transformation.
At the same time, its members have played an active role in economic growth, particularly in software exports and the development of the digital technology industry.
Industry events such as DevDay have become reputable platforms for connecting the tech community, improving talent quality, and keeping pace with global trends.

With its new direction, the Danang Digital Technology Association expands its scope to include organizations, businesses, research institutes, and educational institutions across the entire digital technology ecosystem.

Within the framework of the Congress, the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Center (DISSC) and FPT Smart Cloud signed a cooperation agreement to support startups in accessing advanced technologies, particularly in Cloud and AI.
Both parties will collaborate on initiatives such as:

- Providing technology infrastructure support
- Offering product development and commercialization consulting
- Building startup data systems
